- example : I am a rainbow. (comparing two noun, person and rainbow without using "as" or "like"
Simile
- Using "as" or "like"
- example : The water is like the sun. (is an example of simile because water and the sun have little in common, and yet they're being compared to one another.
There are two categories of analogies, which were logical analogies and affective analogies.
Logical Analogies

- example : Comparison of the whale and submarine. They both can dive to great depths but still need to surface for air.
Affective Analogies
- emotional resemblance
